Foreign maid screening

A general practice locum was censured by the Singapore Medical Council and fined $3000 for signing off the six monthly medical examination form without conducting a proper medical examination and screening on her own maid.

Foreign maid medical screenings are compulsory statutory examinations required by the Ministry of Manpower to ascertain whether the maids are pregnant or are suffering from infectious diseases such as AIDS and Syphllis.
